STRAWBERRIES AND PUBLISHING

Strawberries aren't the way they used to be.
But I still love them.
So I keep buying them and eating them.
Writing and illustrating and publishing books for children isn't the way it used to be, either.  But I still love it all.  Even more than strawberries.  So I keep doing it.

  2. Strawberries ARE the way they used to be, if they are home-grown.... Maybe books are the way they used to be if they are home-grown too... I wonder what the metaphor here is. It seems there is some kind of correlation.

  3. What lovely images! Roger Sutton's last editorial in HB discusses the changes in publishing and books. Have you read it?

    1. Not yet, though I may look it up...I actually don't read a lot of articles about the "state of publishing" because they can be rather depressing.
